The Cahill Family: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hofler

One of my best college friends, Laura Anne, was married two weekends ago to her best friend, Jack. The entire wedding weekend was so fun and filled with joy. We were thrilled to be able to celebrate this sweet occasion with them.

To tell you a little about Laura Anne and our friendship, we met freshman year, fall term, while waiting in line in the book store buying our text books. As it turned out, we were going to be in the same economics class! And boy am I thankful that Laura Anne was in there with me, otherwise I wouldn't have survived! We both joined Tri Delta that winter and when Lauren, my sophomore roommate, and I moved onto the Tri Delta hall Sophomore year, we were less than enthused about the two girls across the hall (Laura Anne and Kate) as they were particularly loud and boisterous! As it turns out, they became some of our best friends and are the girls who I get together with every year for the Roommate Reunions.

Laura Anne was also my roommate for 3 months while we studied abroad in Spain. She was the best roommate I could have asked for and I attribute my boost in confidence that year to her. She is the friend described in Proverbs 27:17, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." She is a woman that when you interact with her, her encouragement and gentle corrections help you to better handle challenges. I am so thankful for her friendship!

Now, Jack I do not know as well. However, his friends said the nicest things about him at the rehearsal dinner. You can tell he is a man of integrity and strong faith. I know Jack and Laura Anne will make a wonderful match!
