Lane's Peaches

This past Friday, Sally, Mom and I took Mary Frances on her first trip to Lane's Peach Packing Company.  Almost every summer growing up, my grandparents would take us to this local Georgia peach packing company to tour the warehouse where they sorted, washed and packed up boxes of Georgia peaches.  Over the years the little warehouse has expanded and now has a fairly large gift shop, a cafeteria for lunch, a play ground, and a bus tour of the orchards.  The last trip we took with my grandparents was in August of 2000 and the last trip that Sally, Mom and I took was in the summer of 2009.  It was such a sweet memory for us and a special time with Mamama and Dada that we wanted Mary Frances to have the same sweet memories.  She had a great time and we will definitely have to make more trips "down south" to visit Lane's in the future.

It's a peach!
Wow, look at that big peach!
Stopping for a ride on the horse.
On of my favorite features are the white rocking chairs in front.
Tractors on the playground.
Cute one of Mom and Mary Frances going down the slide.
Took a little coercing, but we finally got Mary Frances
up on a tractor.
Our favorite part, home made peach ice cream!
Enjoying our afternoon!
It was a special day and I am that Sally took the day off of work so we could spend the day all together.

Love,
Katy
