Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite Christmas traditions. I love everything about the process of picking out the tree, hanging the lights, the first ornament, etc. It has been so much fun to share that tradition with Mary Frances the past few years.

This year Mary Frances is much more verbal and it has been interesting to hear what she has to say on the matter. She was in awe of the tree and lights and had fun telling Paul and I which ornament to hang on the tree next. She sat on the ottoman next to the box of ornaments (nonbreakable) and would pick one out saying, "Daddy, you hang this ornament on the tree" and "Daddy, would you like to hang this one next?" Since then she likes for me to turn the tree lights on and then says, "Mommy, would you like to touch the lights with me? How about this one?"

A week after decorating our tree, Mary Frances still loves it! It is interesting which ornaments she gravitates towards and her favorites to point out to me are Donald Duck, Priscilla the Pink Pig and a variety of balls and miscellaneous ornaments.

| Our tree! Just needs some presents under it. |
I am looking forward to enjoying our tree the entire month of December and hanging another "Baby's 1st Christmas" ornament on the tree soon! Just 13 days!
Love,
Katy
