6 Months

Last week was a big week for the Cahill family.  Margaret turned six months old, Paul had his 31st birthday, and Mary Frances had her third birthday party all on the same day!  I have a lot of blogging to do!  So, I'll start with Margaret's half birthday :)
Our six month old!
Pretty girl
Miss Margaret is full of personality!  She is happy most of the time and loves to explore her world through her five senses.  Everything goes into her mouth these days and she grabs anything within her reach.  She squeals with delight and makes noises we didn't even know were possible for babies to make.  Margaret is much louder than her sister was at this age so we know we are in trouble when both girls are able to talk.  One night, not too long ago, we were sitting at the dinner table while both Mary Frances and Margaret squealed back and forth at each other while Paul and I just looked at each other and laughed.  We have our hands full of happy little girls!
Sweet sisters

Here are some of Margaret's monthly stats:
- 17 lbs 13 oz and 26 3/4 inches long with a head circumference of 17 1/4 inches (80% across the board)
- wears size 3 diapers
- wears 6-12 month clothes
- she laughs and smiles, probably the most at Big Sister
- she is rolling back to front
- Margaret loves to roll onto her tummy to play and has starting trying to scoot those knees up under her
- she started baby food and is eating rice cereal, sweet potatoes and green beans
- transfers toys from hand to hand
- will reach out to grab a toy that is given to her
- sitting on her own (with a pillow close by for crash landings)
- starting to turn at the sound of her name
- takes 3 naps a day
- nurses 4 times a day
- she loves to put her hands on your face and take you in
- babbling more and more
Happy girl!
She loves her Daddy!
Morning time in the camper on her first camping trip
On a walk with her cousin William
Not so sure about her first bites of rice cereal...
Loving her first time in the swing!
Keeping an eye on Maggie - she is a sneaky one!
We do love our little Margaret.  It is so fun to see her grow daily and I know soon she will be on the move trying to keep up with Big Sister!

Love,
Katy
