What a weekend! We didn't go away anywhere, but it seemed like we were so busy having fun with so many friends and family! Paul had a 4 day weekend, which was wonderful and we enjoyed every minute of having him home with us! Mary Frances especially enjoyed it when he would try to give her a bottle :)
Other than having fun with the bottle, here is what our weekend looked like:
- Friday night we had dinner with our friends, Katie and Ryan Baldwin, their son Ryan Jr., and Karen and Steven Hoffer and their son William. We enjoyed a low key dinner at the Baldwin's house with good friends. Sweet Mary Frances slept great on the Baldwin's bed, which is always a plus!
- Saturday was BEAUTIFUL! We had a relaxing morning as Mary Frances and I had both come down with colds. Around 11:30 we left to go walk up to the shops near our house. It was hard to believe it was only 79 degrees! Our intention had been to get a yummy treat at Yoforia, but it was too pretty to not eat outside, so we had lunch at one of our neighborhood favorites, Verde. Maggie went with us and became the official greeter for the restaurant as everyone stopped to pet her as they came in or out of the restaurant.

- Sunday, after church, we went up to Lake Lanier where the Cahill's were camping in their RV. They were there along with 3 other families. Each family reserved their own campsite, one family brought their boat, there was a kayak and a canoe, and lots of food! Since we only spent Sunday afternoon and evening up there, we didn't spend much time in the water. Paul went kayaking, but mostly we just hung out talking with his family by the campsite. Uncle Jim came up from Florida and we had a great time with him. That was the first time he had seen Mary Frances since she was born. Of course Mary Frances loved all of the attention she got and taking her naps in the camper. It will be fun when one day she is old enough to go on a camping trip with Mimi and Grandfather!

- Monday we hung around the house until we went up to spend the afternoon with the Donald's and Sutherland's in Marietta. The Donald's live really close to the Marietta square, so we walked up there to the art festival they were having and then back to the Donald's house to cook out. The Donald's and Sutherland's each have a little girl, both of whom are almost a year old. We can't wait until Mary Frances is old enough to play with them; they will all be the best of friends!

As you can see, we were very busy, but what a wonderful way to spend a long weekend!
Love,
Katy
