5 Months!

Yesterday Mary Frances celebrated 5 months of life!  Has it really been 5 months since our Little Lady was born?!  It feels like she has changed a lot in the past month and her personality shines more every day!  Mary Frances is such a happy baby; Gigi calls her the "Joy Maker."  And a joy maker she is!

Here are some new things she has been doing since last month:
- she loves her feet and is constantly grabbing them;  they haven't made it to her mouth yet as she has that big belly in the way!
- she continues to love to talk and coo and laugh;  she laughs the most at daddy and Maggie.
- we have pulled out our door way jumper and she loves to jump!
- when we put her on her tummy she can push up on her arms (like a mini push up), but she's still not rolling over yet.
- she can sit on her own for extended periods of time;  we still have to stay right with her, but she will be sitting on her own before we know it.
- she loves to watch us throw toys for Maggie outside!  She laughs most of the time we are out there.
- she loves to splash in the bathtub!
- she loves to smile at Maggie and try to touch her whenever she walks by.  Maggie gives lots of kisses and Mary Frances doesn't seem to mind, just scrunches up her face when she sees Maggie coming!
- Mary Frances is SO social; she loves everyone, especially other babies and children.

Happy Girl!

Tired of taking pictures, or trying to get those toes!

Showing off her strength and getting
ready for P90X with her daddy!

Mary Frances still isn't taking a bottle when I am at work.  She is certainly a stubborn little thing!  We went to the Dr. yesterday because I thought she had an eye infection (which thankfully it just seems to be viral!).  Anyways, while we were there I asked Dr. Roe about giving her a dream feed, which I have tried to stop twice now and she keeps waking up during the night!  So, he told me to kick the dream feed and he thought she would start taking the bottle again when I am gone.  Hopefully this will work!  Since Paul was out of town last night and I didn't have to work today, we skipped the dream feed and she slept through the night!  I was prepared for her waking up sometime during the night and having to let her scream it out.  Fortunately for me, she just woke up around 3:30/4 am and made happy noises and went back to sleep.  We'll see what tonight holds and hopefully we get her to sleep through the night the magic 3 nights in a row!

We are so looking forward to this next month and getting to celebrate her first Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Love,
Katy
