8 Months!

Our little Lady was 8 months old Friday!  And what a sweet little thing she is!  We still love this stage as she is so interactive and inquisitive.  She LOVES to eat and now LOVES the bottle, if you can imagine that.  She takes the bottle four times a day and eats three meals.  She usually eats her baby food really well, however, sometimes she'll just have a few bites and be done.  Mary Frances has been good at accepting new foods.  I guess once she got over the initial shock of us giving her a new food every four days she started to enjoy it.  Now she eats sweet potatoes, butternut squash, rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, peas, carrots, acorn squash, pears and apples.  She pretty much loves them all (sweet potatoes are still her fav.).

Here is her monthly list of accomplishments :)

- she has started reaching for you when you put your arms out towards her
- she will lift her arms up to be picked up
- she LOVES to play and knows when we think she is doing something funny, what a ham!
- her favorite game to play is peekaboo and she loves to shake her head left to right and make you laugh
- rolls front to back and back to front!
- still trying to get on her hands and knees and keeps scooting backwards
- has pulled up from sitting to her knees
- still talking up a storm!
- still has one tooth and we are anxiously awaiting some more

What a mess!

This little lady is a busy bee!  As you can see from her monthly pictures, she doesn't sit still.  She wriggles all over the place and pretty much wants to play all of her waking hours.  The only time she stops, literally, is when we put her in her crib and she goes to sleep.  She is so much fun to interact with.  The other day I put her in her crib while I put up her laundry.  I looked over at her and she pulled up to her knees.  Mary Frances thought this was hilarious and started giggling.  I then started laughing and that made her laugh even more until she fell over and kept on laughing.  Can you tell we are having a blast?

Mary Frances has also had her first swing rides and trips to the park this past week.  The weather has been beautiful in Atlanta and so we have taken advantage of being outside.  Mary Frances loved being in the swing and just laughed as soon as I started pushing her.  So glad Mimi and Grandfather gave her a swing for Christmas.  Can't wait to move back home and use it!  Enjoy these pictures!
