Happy Fall!

Fall is such a fun time.  I love the cooler weather, going for walks outside, and all of the fun activities going on around Atlanta.  Last fall I was in a bit of a fog :)  It took me a long time after Mary Frances was born to get back in the full swing of things.  Now I am feeling good and up for taking advantage of all of the fun things going on.

We have taken advantage of our Zoo Atlanta membership and taken or met some friends at the zoo.  We actually even went on Halloween so I dressed Mary Frances up in her costume (another full post on Halloween soon).  She was a little lamb.

Back in October, we were also able to ride the Macy's Pink Pig on preview day.  All proceeds from the Pink Pig go to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  On preview day, CHOA sponsored a little party in which you could ride the pink pig for free and partake in all of the fun activities around the tent.    We went with some friends and had a great time!  Mary Frances usually observes situations a while before she gets into them.  This was her first time on a "train" of sorts, so she looked very serious and took it all in.  Maybe we can go back this holiday season and ride again!  She also kept calling Priscilla, the pink pig, Pookie from one of the books we read at bedtime.  It was so sweet because every time we saw a picture of the pig, she would get excited and say, "Pookie!"

Molly Anne and Ava met us there too

This fall, we also participated in a weekly music class through The Music Class.  We did a shorter session this past summer and Mary Frances loved it, so we continued this fall.  I am amazed at all of the ways music has helped her develop and learn.  She has really gotten into the music and has favorite songs such as the "night night" song, AB's (for ABC's), peas (for the 5 fat peas), etc.  Here are a few shots of her in action on our last day of the fall session.  Side note: I kept the flash off so as to not be "that mom" so some of the pictures are a little blurry.  You get the gist.  Sweet girl loves going to "cass" (as in Music Class) and we are glad there is only a two week hiatus until the winter session!

And last but not least, we finally took a trip to Camp D!  Camp D belongs to our friends, Ashley and Matt Donald's parents, up in Elijay, GA.  They always talk about how relaxing and special Camp D is and we finally got to see first hand.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

As you can see, we've had a busy fall!  More posts to come soon.  We are looking forward to sharing about all of our holiday celebrations coming up!

Love,
Katy

*Short note: I started working on this post a while back.  Well, then our computer hard drive suddenly became full and I couldn't download any new pictures!  My sweet husband took the time to delete a bunch of old/duplicate photos over the weekend and now I am back in business!  There are a bunch of fun things we have done this fall that I wanted to post about individually that will now combine into one post.  Oh well, such is life!*
