Kelly and Jason got married!

This past weekend my sweet friend, Kelly, aka Smell, married her beau, Jason.  Paul and I were able to go to the wedding in Montgomery to celebrate this special union.  Kelly was also sweet and invited Mary Frances along too.  We are usually ones who lean more on the side of leaving the baby at home for weddings.  More so to be able to enjoy adult conversation, etc.  However, we have a string of out of town weddings in March and decided to bring her along.   Thanks to my sweet prayer group at Bible study for praying for our trip, because Mary Frances was a dream almost the entire time.

The whole wedding was beautiful.  Kelly was a beautiful, beaming bride and you could tell she was so excited to marry her best friend.  The flowers in the church were wonderful and we loved the ambiance at the country club for the reception.  The band was great too!

Sweet Mary Frances wanted so badly to watch the ceremony, but it was just too hard for her to stay quiet.  She wanted to comment about the flowers and candles and pretty dresses, so Paul walked with her outside.  When she would talk about going inside, he would tell her she would have to be quiet and she would shake her head and say "talk."  So they had to stay outside because she preferred to talk :)  She loved the band too, and couldn't take her eyes off of them while they played their instruments and sang.  She also loved the dance floor and watching the older girls dancing the night away!

I also got to see some of my best friends from college.  Most of these girls are the same girls who get together every year for our "Roommate plus Smell" reunions and a few others I don't get to see very often.  It was so great to catch up and know that we'll be able to see each other again in just a few weeks for Laura Anne's wedding!  Cannot wait.

We are so excited for Kelly and Jason as they start their life together as Mr. and Dr. McMillan!

PS.  Kelly is going to join a Pediatrician practice in Birmingham once she finishes her residency this spring/summer.  She is SO wonderful, so if you are going to have a baby in Birmingham after July/August, you will have to take them to her!
