It has been a month since my last blog post, and it sure has been a busy month! I know people with children in school always comment about how crazy the month of May is for their family. We don't even have a child in school, but it was a crazy month. Just a few days after my last blog post, Mary Frances broke her arm falling off my bed. A week later Paul's car died on us and we spent about one week as a one car family until buying a new "family" car. And this past Wednesday we returned from an 11 day vacation to England visiting our friends Chris and Amber, their little girl Maddie, and doing a little traveling on our own. Hence the lack of blog posts!

Back to Mary Frances and her arm. Thankfully her fracture was just a small buckle fracture in her upper arm. It did necessitate a change of pace for our active little lady and wearing a sling for a month. After the initial shock of having to have her arm immobilized in a sling, she did great wearing it all the time. I was so proud of her! We even made a sticker chart for her to put stickers on when she put on her sling with a happy heart, wore it to play outside, etc. Eventually she got to the point where she knew if she happily put on her sling she got to put a sticker on the chart and this made it much easier on everyone. We went back for a follow up with the orthopedist yesterday and her arm has completely healed. Praise God! We just have a few restrictions, like no bouncy houses or trampolines, for the next month. However, we are done with the sling and she can swim, go to the play ground, etc. Glad to have this behind us!
We had a blast in England and I took a lot of pictures, so I will do posts in stages for our trip. I am so excited to share about it! Until then, here are a few pictures from our last month so you can see what we have been up to. Enjoy!
