When Margaret was born, I was secretly glad to have another girl. Not for any reason other than I wanted Mary Frances to have a sister. My sister, Sally, and I had so much fun growing up. She is the best sister in the world and I wanted Mary Frances to be able to experience the joys of having a sweet sister to go through life with.

Mary Frances and Margaret already love each other so much. Mary Frances completely adores Margaret and dotes on her all the time. Margaret is never in need of toys, love, or entertainment! Mary Frances loves to hold Margaret, only if for a few seconds, and has put a travel size purell in her purse to be ready to "squirt" her hands at a moments notice in preparation for holding baby sister.

Margaret loves to watch Mary Frances, if only to try to figure out what that whirling derby is that flies past her all day long. She definitely studies big sister and I know it won't be long before she is trying to catch up to her!

This morning Mary Frances asked to hold baby Margaret. As I put Margaret in her arms, Mary Frances took her hand and stroked Margaret's cheek. It was one of the sweetest moments. It melted my heart. I know they will be the best of friends and I cannot wait to watch their relationship blossom over time.
