5 Months

Miss Margaret turned five months old last week.  It has been so much fun for me to see her little personality developing more and more this past month.  She definitely is different from her big sister, but just as sweet and adorable!
Happy Girl!
Here are some things about Margaret at five months:
- sleeps 12 hours at night
- starting to spread out feedings to every 4 hours (4 feedings a day)
- takes 3 naps
- she is in size 3 diapers
- she laughs and laughs and laughs :)  Loves to giggle at her big sister and when we throw her up in the air.
- she is teething and I can see 2 teeth on top and 2 on bottom working their way to the surface
- Margaret got those toes and loves to put them in her mouth!
- she squeals and growls and she makes me laugh
- she smiles when I say her name and when I sing to her
- Margaret isn't quite sitting, but is working so hard!  She loves to sit up on the couch beside us or in her bumbo
- That girls loves to get anything and everything in her mouth

Sitting like a big girl

When I think about the differences between Margaret and Mary Frances at this age, I laugh because they are so different.  Margaret loves to let us know her grievances.  She is very vocal about those.  For example, when she had her first cold just after she turned three months, she just wouldn't eat.  Mary Frances never did that!  Also, it has been very apparent that Margaret has been teething for the past week.  I didn't know Mary Frances was teething until that first tooth cut through.  Margaret has to burp and she will not eat, while that never phased Mary Frances.  It will be interesting to see how these tendencies translate as Margaret gets older.
Checking out those toes
Love her
On the flip side, when she is happy, she is happy.  She loves to play anywhere, particularly in the jumparoo and play mat.  Margaret still loves to read and is content hanging out while we tend to Mary Frances.  She waits so patiently and unless there is something wrong, Margaret is just an easy going, happy baby.
Concentrating in the jumparoo
Sister time
We love our little Margaret!

Love,
Katy
