Prima Ballerina

Mary Frances had her first ballet recital (or "bicital" as Mary Frances called it) this past Monday.  It has to have been one of the cutest things I have ever seen.  After four months of weekly ballet classes, Mary Frances was ready to show off her talent and ballet moves!  When I signed her up last November, there was no way I could have predicted how much she would have loved ballet.  As her friends' dad said to Paul, "Mary Frances was born to be a ballerina!"  I couldn't have said it better myself.
Before the recital, with flowers from Gigi.
With her sweet friend, Campbell.
The recital was during the girls weekly class time in their ballet studio.  The class before us was finishing up when we arrived and Mary Frances twirled and jumped while she waited for her turn.

"Ta da!"  Mary Frances did this after every move.
It was too cute.
She was doing great, dancing along when all of a sudden she realized she was in front of all the mommies and daddies and had a little "freak out" moment.  I don't blame her.  I took her to the restroom where I was able to talk her down and encourage her to finish dancing with the other girls.  When she went back out, you would never have known she had gotten nervous!

I loved watching my sweet girl dance.  I am so proud of her.  She has worked so hard and had so much fun, I can't wait to watch her grow even more next year!
With her very proud parents!
... and proud grandparents!
Love,
Katy
