9 Months

Miss Margaret is nine months old!  She is MOBILE!  Margaret is loving being mobile, too.  The other night I was folding laundry in the living room and Mary Frances went down the hall to the restroom.  Next thing I knew, Margaret was doing her shuffle to get down the hall to where big sister was going.  I called to her.  She sat up, looked at me, and then kept on going!  We are entering into a new world of exploration.  I have a feeling she is going to keep my hands full.
Happy girl!
Here is a little more about Margaret at nine months of age:
- sleeps 12-13 hours at night (once she dropped that third nap I started putting her to bed between 6 and 6:30 every night)
- naps twice a day
- nurses 3 times a day and eats 3 meals
- has two teeth
- wears size 4 diapers
- weighs 17 lbs 12 oz, 28.25 inches long and a head circumference of 17.35 inches
- babbles and says "ba ba" and "dada" and is trying more and more to mimic our sounds
- she "crawls" (mostly she lays on her stomach and looks like she is doing a modified version of the breast stroke where she pushes her body with her feet and pulls with her hands)
- moving all around and exploring everything!
- puts everything in her mouth
- still loves her lovey and gets excited when when give him to her
- pulling up and we dropped her crib
Mad because I was trying to capture
her pulling up instead of getting her out of bed :)
If you were thinking back to Margaret's six month check up and stats, you would be thinking she hasn't gained much weight.  Unfortunately, Margaret gained and then lost weight, dropping to just below 40th percentile when she had been 80th percentile.  Our pediatrician thinks she otherwise looks great, doing all the things she is supposed to do, so we attributed the weight loss to a drop in my milk supply.  Now I am supplementing with formula and when I took her in this week for a sick visit she was already up to 18 lb 11 oz. Gaining nicely and we'll go back for our official weight check in October.
She is all over the place

Sweet Margaret loves to play and explore.  She especially loves Mary Frances' toys which makes for new challenges :)  Mary Frances is learning a lot about sharing and I am learning how to balance helping Mary Frances share and when to keep Margaret away from what Mary Frances is playing with and setting up.  It is always an adventure around here!
Figuring out how to get in Mary Frances' kitchen
After dinner wagon ride
Snuggling with her lovey and underneath sucking on her fingers
We are looking forward to more adventures with our little ones this fall!

Love,
Katy
