Mary Frances got a zoo pass for her 3rd birthday from Gigi and Papa. With two little ones and crowded summer days at the zoo, I had not attempted to take both girls yet. This past week we went for the first time in about a year and had so much fun! I am happy to be back!

Right when our first annual pass was expiring, the zoo at introduced their giraffe feeding exhibit. This week, as we were walking up to see the giraffes, feeding time had just started and we were able to partake! Mary Frances timidly gave the giraffe, Glenda, her leaves and enjoyed watching her eat them. Margaret had the widest eyes seeing such a large creature so close.

We walked around and saw some of our favorite animals. The lion was particularly feisty that day as we heard him roaring from all around the zoo. I made the mistake of telling Mary Frances that there was a playground at the zoo, so she wanted to spend her time there instead of watching the animals. Oh well! That is why we have a pass so we can go back again and again!
