Back in the Saddle Again!

We are HOME!  Hence the title!  So much has gone on in the past couple of weeks since Mary Frances' baptism.  The best being that we have moved back into our house.  After 3 months of being displaced (couldn't have been displaced into a more comfortable, loving environment), we are back into our home.  We still have a ways to go until we are completely settled in, however, it is nice to be living in our own house again with (most of) our own things.  We will have to post before and after pictures of the transformation that occurred to our house after the fire thanks to All South Restoration.

On another note, here is what we've been up to.
1. Unpack
2. Play
3. Exercise
4. Repeat

Yes, we have been unpacking a lot.  We have most of the boxes unpacked, with several set aside to go through "later."  No pictures have been hung on the walls yet, but we might want to change it up, so are waiting for that.  As we are unpacking we are figuring out what we don't have anymore and need to re buy and assessing everything that was cleaned and given back to us.  And, with a busy 9 1/2 month old in the mix, this makes the process much slower and leads to number 2 on the list, play.

My Little Helper
We have been doing a lot of playing as well.  Mary Frances has been a trooper and played nicely while I have tried to unpack with her around.  In some cases she has been a super little helper.  We have also had several play dates which have been a nice distraction from number 1 :)

Celebrating my birthday
Exploring her "new" home
Sweet playdate with Wilson and Anne
Helping Ryan celebrate his 1st birthday!
On to number 3!  We have been doing a lot of exercising!  I am trying to get back into shape post baby and train for my upcoming triathlon!  Don't get too excited, it's just an Iron Girl sprint triathlon, but I thought it would give me a good goal to get back in shape and hopefully lose the rest of that baby weight that has so kindly lingered around.  If you want to join us, we have joined the YMCA and have really enjoyed it.  We would love some pool buddies this summer!

This seems to be our life for now.  We'll take it though, remembering how God so graciously has given us everything we have left to unpack.  We are thankful for it and hope it serves as a constant reminder of God's protection and provision during these last three months.  If you think about it, please pray for an old friend of mine, Rebecca and her husband Mark, who had a house fire about two weeks ago.  They lost about 80% of the inside of their house and are projected to be out for 6 months or so, all the while with their first baby on the way.  I don't fully understand why God allows us to go through certain things, but I do know that He has allowed it, if only for us to bring glory to Him and to serve as an encouragement to Rebecca and Mark.  We are so thankful for their protection and how God will use their situation to glorify Him!

So, here is to more happy unpacking and to a happy spring!

Love,
Katy
