Our sweet little Margaret is 3 months old. Yay! We have survived for three months! That's a quarter of the year, folks. And not that I am wishing for my sweet baby to be any closer to one (and not a baby anymore), but these monthly posts are always a testament to me that, by the Lord's good grace, we are making it one day, one month at a time. And as winter gives way to spring (my favorite time of year), I am so excited for all of the things that sweet Margaret will get to experience for the first time!

Margaret continues to be such a sweet baby. There is just no other way to describe her! She is perfectly content doing just about anything, as long as she is
rested. She is happy to watch her big sister, happy to be held, happy to hang out in her bouncy seat, etc. She smiles so much and I just love watching her little face light up! In the past month you can tell that she has really started to focus on things/people and study what is going on around her. When I was trying to take her monthly picture, she would smile so big and as soon as I held up the camera to snap away, she would stop and stare - trying to figure out why I keep holding that thing up! Needless to say, I didn't get a good picture of Margaret smiling. It was especially difficult with big sister running around trying to get Margaret to smile, but rocking the chair at the same time. Hello face plant!

Here are a few things about Margaret at three months:
- wears size 2 diapers
- feeds 6 times a day
- sleeps from her last feeding at 10 until the next morning
- takes 4 naps a day
- found those hands and loves to shove them or anything else in her mouth!
- moving into 3-6 month size clothes
- is batting at her toys and has started grabbing at them
- she'll have a "conversation" with you making those sweet baby noises
- she is starting to stand when you hold her (when her knees bend Mary Frances commends her on her wonderful plies :)
- she started breaking out of her swaddle during the night, getting those arms up by her head just like big sister did
- her favorite spot is still snuggled up on my shoulder!
One sweet antidote I want to remember is how when I rock her, she loves to put her head on my shoulder. If I try to cradle her in my arm, she always throws her head forward to get up on my shoulder. I love having her there, too!

| This is how I find her in the morning these days |
While Margaret is thriving in every way, we have run into a rough patch with her eating. I thought for a while she might have a little reflux (which I still think she does), but she has started refusing part of her feedings, usually in the afternoons. This made for a very stressed and exhausted mama this week. After talking to the doctor, we are changing her reflux meds and I am focusing on getting her good rest, in her bed to help keep her from getting over tired. Hopefully the combination of these things will help and the girl will pick back up to being a good, happy eater.
