Cupcake Party

In addition to posting about Mary Frances at 12 months, I wanted to post about her actual birthday and party!  However, first things are first.  We had her 12 month appointment this past Thursday and she weighed in at 23 lbs 1 oz, was 31 1/2 inches long, and her head circumference was 19 inches.  The Little Lady has dropped to between 75th and 90th percentiles for weight and continues to be off the chart for height and head circumference.  We might have a smart and tall little girl on our hands!

On Mary Frances' actual birthday, she woke up in her cupcake pajamas (thanks Gigi) and had her very first pancake breakfast.  She gobbled up the pancakes so fast!  She loved them!  After her morning nap and some party preparations, we went to Moes for lunch.  Then, it was back home for the afternoon nap so she could be rested for her birthday celebration that afternoon!

Celebrating with Nate the day before.
His birthday is the 16th of June.

We had a cupcake themed party.  My friend, Kate, designed and printed the birthday invitations for us.  All I told her was that I wanted to have a cupcake on the invite and for them to be pink.  She did a fabulous job!  We had the party from 3 - 5 pm, so we just did cupcakes and ice cream and a few snacks for the kids and adults.  Mary Frances had her very own cupcake cake smash cake from Henri's.  It was perfect!  In addition to the cupcake theme, we had several baby pools and toys on the deck for the kids to play in and with.  I think with a summer birthday this will be our life for a little while!  I won't complain, though, because pool parties are always fun!

Yummy cupcakes!

Our friends and family were so sweet to come.  We had a blast, as did Mary Frances, and loved that we got to celebrate the culmination of her first year of life with these precious people!

And last but not least, Mary Frances shares her birthday with my Dad.  After her party celebration, we were able to celebrate his 56th birthday!  We had a wonderful dinner at Canyon Burger and celebrated with cake and presents back at our house.  Happy Birthday, Dad!  We love you!

The Birthday Boy and Girl!
We cannot wait for what this next year will bring us!

Love,
Katy
