We had a fun weekend! Busy but fun. One of my favorite things we did was take Mary Frances to the Splash Pad at Piedmont Park. This is a new feature of the park, so it wasn't very crowded and perfect for a HOT summer day! The way we got to the splash pad was a little round about. We started out going to the pool at the Y. My friend Mary Catherine got there first and called to say it was closed and she was going to go to the pool at Piedmont Park instead. So, since we were already lathered in sunscreen and in the car, we decided to join her there. Once we got there, the pool didn't open to nonmembers until noon. At this point it was 11:30 and we didn't want to wait in the heat for 30 more minutes until we could get in. So, we made the trek to the splash pad and had a great time! Mary Frances and Charlotte had so much fun splashing in the water and watching the water squirt up out of the ground. I think it will be even that much more fun once Mary Frances is walking and can run around. Something to look forward to I guess :) Here are some pictures from our adventure!

We will definitely have to go back a lot this summer! It is nice to having something free to do to keep us cool during this HOT summer!
