The time finally came for Mary Frances to have her first haircut. I had put it off long enough and time finally came for us to get rid of the rather prominent mullet that had grown. My mom and I took her to a little children's salon in Atlanta, as I was definitely not up for the challenge of cutting a toddler's hair!

Mary Frances rode (or rather sat) in an airplane during her haircut. She really did great and I was so proud of her! She only cried when the lady wet her hair with a squirt bottle. To calm her down we gave her one of the baby dolls in the salon and gave her some animal crackers. Her hair looks great and no more mullet!

Since I had talked it up so much and talked about it afterwards, Mary Frances would get excited when we talked about the "haircut." I am surprised she even remembered how she drove the airplane as she would mention almost every time we talked about the event.
As excited as I was for this milestone, I was just as sad, for now my little baby is definitely becoming a little girl!
Love,
Katy
