The Stockings Were Hung

Our stockings were hung with care tonight.  We are excited to see what Santa brings in the morning!

We've made our list and checked it twice.

We visited Santa on Thursday.  Mary Frances was all talk and no action.  Leading up to seeing Santa Claus she would talk about hugging him and sitting in his lap.  Once we started to walk up to him, though, it was a whole other story.  She freaked out and wrapped her legs around Paul as tightly as she could.  She wouldn't even talk to Santa.  Paul and I ended up sitting in Santa's chair and Santa stood behind us in the picture.  Afterwards, Mary Frances kept talking about Santa and his lap.  I just laughed.

We made Santa his cookies tonight.  Chocolate chip, our favorite recipe, too!  Surprisingly, Mary Frances was very much into helping me make the cookies.  After we mentioned making the cookies, anytime Santa came up, she would say, "cookie!"  That girl is smart!  As soon as the cookies were ready, she ran to her highchair and said, "eat!"  I think she thought we were having cookies for dinner.  Those of you who know me well probably wouldn't be surprised if we did :)

Lastly, we laid out our stockings with milk and cookies for Santa.  Mary Frances was dressed in her Christmas nightgown (love it!) and was so excited to sleep in it!  She kept walking around admiring it.
So excited!

We are looking forward to Christmas with this sweet girl tomorrow!
