Tis the Season to be Jolly

And we are jolly!  This weekend we got in the Christmas spirit as we picked out our tree and decorated our home for Christmas.  Mary Frances loved being a part of this Christmas tradition, from picking out the tree to hanging the ornaments.  We picked out our tree yesterday.  Last night Paul and I put it in the stand and put on the lights, saving the ornaments for today.  When Mary Frances woke up this morning, we told her we had a surprise for her, which was the lit up tree.  She was so cute running down the hall, looking at the tree!  She was fascinated with the lights.  This afternoon after her nap we put on our ornaments.  She didn't get it at first but then got into taking ornaments over to Paul to hang on the tree.  If you look closely at our tree you'll see all of the fragile ornaments at the top and all of the wooden, nonbreakable ornaments on the bottom.  I am sure this is what every tree in a household with young children looks like!

After we finished decorating, Mary Frances loved going over to the tree and pointing out all of the different ornaments.  Her favorite one seems to be "Pookie," the pink pig, which we got when we rode the pink pig ride.  She also got into taking her picture in front of the tree.  You could tell she was so proud!  When I asked her to go stand in front of the tree, she would do so confidently and look up and say "cheese!"  Cute thing is figuring out what to do in front of the camera.  I think she has a little bit of her daddy in her!

Big girl!
We are so looking forward to this Christmas and sharing the joy of Christ with her!  Merry Christmas to all of our family and friends!

Love,
Katy
