Around Town

Once we settled into the Ferebee flat in Oxford, we spent the week hanging around town.  Paul worked in London and Leeds Monday through Wednesday, so I spent those days hanging out with Amber and Maddie.  We went to the grocery store, park, etc.  We had a great time!  Wednesday, Amber had to work to get ready for a conference the next day.  I kept both girls and we went to the park and bookstore all by ourselves :)  Then, Chris was wonderful enough to come home from work so that I could catch a train to London to eat a fabulous dinner with Paul and his boss, Nick.  It was amazing!  If you are in London and want a very nice dinner, you should go to Hakkasan.  Pretty much everything I had was delicious and the atmosphere was great too.  Since our dinner reservations were not until 8:30, I spent the night with Paul in London and we headed back to Oxford the next morning.  Thank you again, Amber and Chris, for keeping Mary Frances for us!

Thursday, Paul and I took a train from London back to Oxford.  Unfortunately, Chris wasn't feeling well, so Amber wasn't able to go to work like she had planned.  Fortunately for us, we all got to spend the day together and enjoyed walking around Oxford that afternoon/evening.  It was fun having local tour guides show us around.  Here are some pictures from our week in Oxford.  Warning, there are a lot!

Maddie Swinging
Mary Frances - her left arm looks funny because
she is wearing her sling under the jacket.
Playing in the sandbox - Mary Frances didn't understand why
she couldn't take her shoes and socks off.  Maybe because
it was FREEZING!
Maddie had a blast parking herself in the sand.

Love this one of Chris and Paul just pushing the
strollers around town.
