Party Girl!

Mary Frances was so excited about her birthday last week.  We started talking about her party about a week before the actual date (last Friday).  Every day she would ask, "Where my birthday go?"  We would remind her that her party was coming up on Friday and that all her friends would be there, etc.  The morning of the party, she woke up in her bed and the first thing she said when I walked in to get her was, "It's my birthday party!"  The girl loves a party!

I had struggled over where and when to have her party for probably a month.  Finally we decided to do something low key, during the week at the nearby park.  We had such a great time with sweet friends and family!  I ordered all of the party decorations from this shop on Etsy.  I love Etsy.  Since we weren't having the party at home, I thought it would be fun to have some special decorations and this shop fit the part!  Paige, the owner/creator of the shop, was so easy to work with and changed this baby shower Owl themed invitation into a birthday invitation for me.  She also helped me put together a party package including hats, juice box covers, birthday banner, cupcake toppers, thank you tags, etc.  I loved the way it turned out and I love that it added a little something special to our park birthday party.  One quick warning, it did take a considerable amount of time to put everything together since it is a DIY project (she sends you the pdf files).  Thank you again, Sally, for spending two nights to help me get it all done!

Mary Frances LOVED her party and having her friends with her.  She also loves the park, so it was a great combination.  One added bonus is that a lot of her friends have little baby siblings and Mary Frances loved that all of the babies were at the party too.  Here are some pictures of the party guests and the birthday girl.

Mary Frances has only had juice maybe twice in her life.
She was lovin' this juice box!

I love this one of Mary Frances wiping her mouth with her napkin.
I didn't get a lot of great shots of the birthday girl (remember she is two and refused to have her picture taken), but we did find one secret to getting her to smile in pictures - Uncle Josh!  Have I mentioned that Mary Frances is smitten with Uncle Josh?  He would just wave at her and she would beam.  We need to have him around all the time, or at least when we're trying to get some decent pictures :)

Happy Birthday, Mary Frances!  We were so happy to celebrate your special day with family and friends.  We love you!

Love,
Katy
