Green Festibul

Last weekend Mary Frances, Sally and I went to the "Green Festibul", aka Greek Festival.  I have never been and since Paul was out of town, we thought it would be fun to go together.  I must say, we were braving it with a potty training toddler since we had to park and take a shuttle there and back.  However, it was a short and successful trip and we had a great time.

Our Baklava Ice cream Sundae
Most of the festival seemed to be related to food or shopping.  With Mary Frances in tow, we didn't enjoy a lot of either.  We did have a baclava ice cream sundae, though, and that was amazing!  Mary Frances also enjoyed a little face painting and a dancing demonstration by the high school students.  The dancing was by far her favorite part!

Mary Frances picked out a pink butterfly
So excited about the finished product!
Watching the dancing and you can see a better
picture of her butterfly.
The Dancing
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta also had a booth and Mary Frances was able to get her first tattoo (stick on of course) and some crayons and coloring paper.  Part of the proceeds of the festival actually went to benefit Children's, so that was an added bonus for us to go!

Waiting patiently for her tattoo to dry
We will look forward to going again in future years and as Sally said, we'll have to plan our visit around a meal so we can enjoy more of that yummy food!

Love,
Katy
