Today was the
Pink Pig Preview Party at Macy's in Atlanta. The ride doesn't officially open until Saturday, but Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Macy's hosted a preview party today where you could ride for free and enjoy refreshments, balloon animals, face painting, etc. Mary Frances and I went
last year and had a lot of fun so we thought it would be fun to go again this year.
Mary Frances had a blast with some of her favorite friends, as did I. When I mentioned to her this morning that we were going to see the Pink Pig and ride a train, she told me she didn't want to go. Sweet thing has a slight aversion to trains where she loves seeing them but does not like to ride them. So I downplayed the train part and talked up the Pink Pig, or "pookie" as she is affectionately called. As it turns out, Mary Frances loved riding the train and asked to ride again! She also loved "Pookie" and being able to see her in person.

Since the proceeds benefit CHOA, Hope and Will (Children's mascots) were there as well. As it turns out, they were Mary Frances' favorite part! She even asked to pray for them tonight when we were going to bed :)

We also enjoyed the balloon animals and cotton candy, popcorn, cookies, animal crackers, etc. Mary Frances, Charlotte and Mary Stewart all LOVED their popcorn. Mary Frances had her first taste of cotton candy and wasn't a fan. She didn't go hungry, though! She ate so much that she had three bites of dinner and then asked for me to put her to bed . The girl had fun!

We had a great time with sweet friends and will look forward to riding the Pink Pig again this holiday season, hopefully with Daddy!
Love,
Katy
